Jessie Ware: Devotion
An effortlessly glamorous debut with real heart
Celina Murphy, 04 Sep 2012

For all the sonic glamour, there’s real warmth and emotion here, particularly shiver-inducing on love-hate anthem ‘Wildest Moments’. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to hear the human element leading the electronics, and not the other way around.
Devotion is, undeniably, high-fashion pop; sure, it’s been done before, but rarely without a single dud track and almost never in way that’s as wonderfully danceable and devastating as this.
