Cheryl

Celina Murphy, 19 Oct 2012

Diva anthems like the lyrically ghastly ‘The Flood’, on the other hand, have no business in a Cheryl show, and needlessly schmaltzy numbers like this are the reason why the whole thing came off as positively shrugworthy. It’s nothing a few nips and tucks couldn’t fix – a dance number here, a costume change there – but until this glossy-haired pop idol takes a pair of scissors and a bottle of paste to her set list, the Cheryl live show will continue to pale in comparison to that gorgeous face of hers.
