The angst-ridden singer songwriter is back

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 27 Jul 2012

Alanis Morissette launches her new video for latest single 'Guardian'

Rewind back to the '90s and Alanis was selling millions of albums with ground-breaking songs fueled by bitterness and spite. Nowadays the Canadian lady is a much more mellow artist singing songs about angels and motherhood ('Guardian').

All that said and done, she may have lost her bite but she does still have one of the most distinctive voices out there.

"Guardian" is the first single off Alanis Morissette's upcoming album Havoc and Bright Lights, available for pre-order on iTunes on July 31.

Check out Alanis' new video for 'Guardian' that was shot in Berlin.
