He hasn't released an album in four years and he returns as... the new Tom Jones?
"I sometimes get boxer shorts thrown at me... I get bras as well!"
Damien Dempsey opened up to HP's Craig Fitzpatrick last week in the new Vintage Room in Dublin's Workman's Club and you can see the results below.
The night after an incendiary launch party for new album Almighty Love in the Button Factory, Dempsey was clearly still getting to grips with the reception he received, and keen to talk about the importance of his lyrics to the fans, as well as his hope that he can spread his positive message outside of Ireland.
Of course, there was some great music to be had. To hear everything he had to say, as well as impassioned renditions of 'Almighty Love' and 'Apple Of My Eye', look no further than an inch or two below...
