Happy birthday Joe Strummer

Today would have been the legendary Clash man's 60th birthday..

John Graham Mellor, better known by his stage name Joe Strummer, sadly died as the result of a congenital heart defect on December 22, 2002 at the age of just 50.

The Clash singer was a true tour de force, as our man Stuart Clark found out when he met the legendary frontman in 1999. Check out the interview (which involves a well-inebriated Clark stumbling off Strummer's tour bus at 4am - yes really), here. Joe - we salute you! Happy birthday.
