The popular folk-rock band from Iceland launch their new LP on Friday
A bright future lies ahead for breakout band Kaleo as they prepare to release their first worldwide album this Friday.
The mainstream music industry in America first took notice of the band after the release of 'All the Pretty Girls' in 2014. After gaining some popularity in the States, Kaleo would later decide to relocate to Nashville to record its new album.
The band’s lead singer JJ Juliusson, drummer David Antonsson Crivello, and bassist Danny Jones have been friends since their elementary school days, but the band was not complete until 2012 with the addition of guitarist Rubin Pollock. Soon after, they performed at the Icelandic Airwaves music festival and quickly became a phenomenon all over Iceland.

Several new songs, as well as some old favorites, will be featured on the 10-track album. First time listeners can expect a laidback folk-rock style with a soft overlay of sonic beats and a touch of the blues, giving the music its unique sound that fans back in Iceland so revere. Tracks such as 'Automobile' and 'Broken Bones', hits in their home country, can soon be enjoyed by a much wider audience.
The album A/B will be available this Friday, June 10.
