Low for Button Factory

Halves will support...

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 26 Jun 2012

The majestic Minnesota act Low will roll into town on July 10 for what promises to be a deeply memorable show. A welcome announcement too, given that their planned Vicar Street date with Explosions In The Sky was cancelled. Low are currently promoting their latest Sub Pop collection C'mon, the textbook definition of elegiac beauty. Halves, an Irish band who also know a thing or two about that, will be special guests on the night. Tickets are priced at €23 and are on sale now through www.tickets.ie, www.ticketmaster.ie and Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

The Great Destroyer

While The Great Destroyer is a much more straightforward rock record, there is certainly still much to be admired in Parker and Sparhawk’s muted chemistry. Their cuddly intimacy has given way to a much more charged sound.

Low, The Dudley Corporation

How do you follow the gig of 2002 in Christchurch? Not in the Ambassador I would have thought, but given Low’s minimal format it makes it a little harder for the sound gremlins to come out to play.
