Stage Times for Liss Ard

Plus we have important foodie info!

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 30 Jul 2012

The August Bank Holiday Weekend is fast approaching and undoubtedly the biggest attraction over the break will take place in West Cork. Skibbereen will play host to the inaugural Liss Ard Festival, set to feature the likes of Chic, Bob Mould, Paul Buchanan and Mick Flannery.

To get the full full line-up (and most importantly, those stage times) for you to salivate over, then get planning, click here.

But it's not only (excellent) music we have to look forward to. The Theatre Of Food area will be a haven for aspiring cooks and all those with a sweet or savoury tooth. THere will be demos and tooks from some of the country's finest producers, chefs and food writers, with workshops on how to make your own cheese or build a wood-fired pizza oven. There will also be a Farmers Market with plenty of free samples, and a talk from award-winning food writer, journo and blogger Mei Chin.

It all happens August 4-5. Go to http://www.lissardfestival.com/ for more details.
