The Philip Lynott Exhibition is celebrating what would have been the rocker's 63rd birthday...

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 20 Aug 2012

Still In Love With You: The Philip Lynott Exhibition is welcoming fans from across the world, as they descend on Dublin today to celebrate what would have been the late rock star's 63rd birthday.

Born on August 20, 1949, Philip Lynott went on to become lead singer with the legendary Thin Lizzy and his powerful music reverberated around the world.

To celebrate the legendary musician's birthday, his mother Philomena will be at the Exhibition today to meet fans and sign copies of her No. 1 bestseller My Boy - The Philip Lynott Story. Keeping visitors entertained from 3pm are The International Lizzy All-Stars, featuring Jimmy Coup from Los Angeles, Brian Grace from Dublin and Satoshi Shibuta from Tokyo, brought together specially for the occasion.

"Today marks what would have been Philip's 63rd birthday," Hot Press editor Niall Stokes said. "There are lots visitors both from Ireland and abroad planning to visit the Exhibition to celebrate the life of one of Ireland's greatest rock 'n' rollers. It is hugely entertaining and informative exhibition – but it also packs a real emotional impact. It is an extraordinary story of an extraordinary Irishman."
