The Chinese rock trio will be supporting the synth pioneers on their upcoming Global Spirit tour.
The first Chinese band to make a break in the West, Re-TROS released their album last month to much acclaim. Today they have announced a return to Europe in support Depeche Mode, which will commence in at Dublin's 3Arena on November 15th.
The European arena tour will be accompanied with standalone Re-TROS shows as the band bring their experimental hybrid of post-punk, electronica and art-rock to the UK in November. Their new album and first UK release Before The Applause, received praise for mixing art school punk with techno and back again.
Heroes of the Chinese underground rock scene, the Beijing-based ‘Rebuilding the Rights of Statues’ have released their genre-spanning post punk inspired album Before The Applause on Modern Sky Entertainment. The first Chinese band to release an album in the west, Re-TROS extoll the virtues of classic independent icons Joy Division and Bauhaus, while taking inspiration from contemporary groups such as Battles, Liars and TV On The Radio.
