The Irish singer-songwriter and member of The Saturdays has revealed that her debut solo album, The Waiting Game, will be released in February 2017.
Una Healy is to unleash her debut solo album. Entitled The Waiting Game, it is set for release in February 2017.
The singer songwriter, who achieved huge success with The Saturdays, has been touring as a solo artist, so today’s announcement comes as no surprise. To coincide with the album announcement, Una has made the title track available to stream or to download, when you pre-order the album.
Her solo debut sees Una return to her roots, weaving folk, pop and rock melodies with elements of the country music she grew up with. "Over the past 2 years I've been writing and recording my debut solo album,” Una says, "and I'm so excited to finally share it with everyone. I have literally been playing the waiting game! The songs were all written from the heart and I hope people can relate to them. The sound of the album is very true to my roots and is a return to the music I've always loved."
On The Waiting Game, Una has worked with some of the world’s most acclaimed songwriters and producers, including Grammy winner Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud'), Ben Earle from The Shires, Nick Atkinson (Gabrielle Aplin), singer songwriter Jack McManus and Sacha Skarbek (Lana Del Ray, Jason Mraz).

Una has also recently announced that her first single, since signing to Decca Records in the summer, will be 'Stay My Love'. The track is a collaboration with Sam Palladio, star of the hit US TV series Nashville and was co-written by Amy Wadge. The single will be premiered in the new year and released shortly ahead of the album.
The Waiting Game will be released just in time for Valentine's Day, on February 10, 2017. It is available to pre-order now, on iTunes and Amazon.
