When It's All Over We Still Have To Clear Up .. so say Gary Lightbody and co. with Snow Patrol's last album (which Hot Press heralded as a minor classic.)
When It's All Over We Still Have To Clear Up. Indeed: so said Snow Patrol's wonkily brilliant album of last year, which Hot Press heralded as a minor classic. Well, Northern Ireland's Snow Patrol may have got their act together on record, but they're still most infamous for the chaotic charm of their live shows (not least their Music Centre date last night). Main kahuna Gary Lightbody, it bears mentioning, can also be found super-grouping it with the Reindeer Section, starring various mates and musicians of great reknown (from Belle and Sebastian, Arab Strap, Mogwai and anyone else who's in the area) - and whose new LP Son Of Evil reindeer is only a few weeks away.
So. In conclusion, although most often to be found lurking in the more unsalubrious corners of bonny Glasgow, Snow Patrol are nevertheless among the best that Irish independent rock has to offer.
Hence, we bring you a video interview filmed backstage at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin last year, wherein we learn why it's vitally important to have one's fake breasts with one, when on tour. And much more.
