Silver Jews are led by David ‘D.C.?‘ Berman... a man who hails from Albermerle, Virginia, but has a heart that yearns for Nashville, Tennessee, a dream state with an unlimited supply of "club soda" and "hot middle-aged women". You would, too.

Silver Jews have in the past been positioned as a Pavement side-project, since Berman worked with Stephen Malkmus on the band's early albums, but the essence of the music is definitely Berman?‘s inimitable style of songwriting, his deadpan delivery and razor-sharp eye for poetic detail.

Recorded after the tragic deaths of two of Berman?‘s close friends, Bright Flight touches many a raw nerve, while remaining a positive, uplifting work by virtue of Berman?‘s marvellous mordant wit and buoyant musical arrangements.
