A Nation Once Again (The 21st Century)

The fact that this was voted the “best song of all time” in a recent BBC poll is both perplexing and deeply worrying. Despite the title, this updated “continuity” version of ‘A Nay-Shun Wunce A-Gen’ isn’t much different to the hoary old fossil the ‘Tones and others have been pedalling for what seems like the last hundred years. For die-hards the traditional version is also included here and footie fans can also savour such gems as ‘You’ll Never Beat The Irish’ and ‘The Celtic Symphony’. Is this how far we’ve come?
