Not content with whipping up a storm with Snow Patrol, Gary Lightbody has also turned his hand to making classy mix-tapes.
Lightbody is behind the latest compilation in The Trip CD series, which gives guest Djs the chance to 'create a personal collection bound my the unmoveable rule that there are no rules. Previous mixers include Tim Love lee, St. Etienne, and Dirty Vegas.
This compilation follow on from a number of house-influenced club appearances that Gary has made in his hometown of Glasgow.
Due out on October 24th, Gary's double-mix CD includes acts as diverse as Four Tet, Low, Jacknife Lee, Secret Machines, The Shins, The Duke Spirit, Mum and Joy Zipper.
Gary also gives a big-up to some of his favourite Irish acts, including one-time bandmate Iain Archer and up-and-comers Republic of Loose.
