Dublin's Olympia Theatre damaged in truck accident
Dublin's heritage-listed Olympia Theatre has sustained significant damage to it's Dame Street exterior
One of Dublin's best-known rock 'n' roll landmarks, The Olympia Theatre, was damaged this morning when a lorry careered into the steel and glass canopy outside the venue.
The listed structure had to be cut away, but will be kept in storage until the New Year when it's shipped over to a factory in Scotland specialising in antiques restoration.
According to a spokesperson for the venue, this could cost as much as €120,000.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the crash which resulted in the footpath on Dame Street and one line of traffic having to be closed off for a couple of hours.
