Gentleman Jim’s debut album is a shimmering affair – like a less predictable Lemon Jelly or a more rewarding Dntel. From the simple, sunny electro/poppy ‘Summer On The Wall’, through the Nina Hynes-led ‘Deeper Than Heaven’ via the gently unfurling – and ever so-slightly-housey – ‘Hanover’ to the gliding, sub-aqua choral epic that is the closer ‘Under The Woods’, this is a must for those that revel in quiet delights. Absolutely lovely.
