Krafty
'Krafty' marks a return to more familiar polished pop.
Such has been their less than hectic work rate over the past decade that the thought of a new New Order record less than four years since the last one is almost unseemly. Whereas the fine ‘Get Ready’ saw them at their rawest for some time, 'Krafty' marks a return to more familiar polished pop. While the combination of Sumner’s fragile vocal and the immovable force that is Peter Hook’s bass never fails to quicken the pulse, this does sound like the kind of thing they could knock out in their sleep. Still better than most though, and twice as cool.
