In the main it’s blips and bleats, blended with more conventional instruments and textures including banjos! Singer Michael Stephens has an engagingly hi- pitched vocal style and the songs have intriguing titles (‘Dimly Lit Laws Of Variation’, ‘I Said Turn That Smile Into A Frown’) but can come across as a work-in-progress
