Topknot [feat. Bubbley Kaur & M.I.A.]
Poor Cornershop looked so damned uncomfortable throughout their whole chart topping experience that you feared it would scar them forever and they’d never want to make records again. They have, however, sunk happily back into semi-oblivion and knocked out a stream of fantastic singles, of which 'Topknot' is by far the best.

They have, however, sunk happily back into semi-oblivion and knocked out a stream of fantastic singles, of which 'Topknot' is by far the best. The duo themselves are nowhere to be heard, instead letting the inspired coupling of Kaur and M.I.A. blend old and new, just as the music throws funky hip-hop beats into the mix with Indian folk music. Plus they’ve rescued Rowetta from her X-Factor hell to sing on the B-side. Genius.
