Homegrown comedians take on the topic of history - for free!

The idea is for top Irish comedians to entertain fans with a unique Irish perspective on significant events in Irish history, as well as other historical events that have shaped the world.

Hosted by popular Dublin comic Paddy Courtney, the shows will go on every month in different venues around the city until December. The series was inspired by Amstel's TV ads showing four Irish men using their wit to take a light-hearted look at major historical events like the invasion of Troy.
Courtney said: "These live comedy events are going to be a great laugh. The Irish have a unique sense of humour and making fun of major Irish and world events is just part of our nature."
Next up in the series are David O'Doherty and Colum McDonnell at Spirit on July 26. Tickets are free and available for over 18s on www.amstel.ie.
