Fight Like Apes play Serbia festival
One of this year’s most hotly-tipped Irish bands, Fight Like Apes, are to play Europe’s biggest music festival in Serbia this summer.
The Dublin foursome are set to play the Exit festival on July 13, joining acts like the Beastie Boys, CSS, Basement Jaxx and Groove Armada.
Fight Like Apes were chosen out of hundreds of new wave punk and indie bands who sent in demos to play the festival’s Futureshock stage.
Exit takes place in the historic setting of the Petrovaradin Fortress on the banks of the River Danube in Serbia. The event has been running since 2000, and draws up to 400,000 fans each year.
If you’re not up for travelling to Serbia to see FLA, you can still check them out on one of their Irish tour dates.
They play the Eigse Arts Festival, The Underground, Carlow (June 16); Baker Place, Limerick (June 17); HWCH Launch, Dublin (June 19); 2-Step Club, The Limelight, Belfast (June 21); Masons, Derry (June 22); McHughs Drogheda, Louth (June 23); Castlepalooza, Charleville Castle, Tullamore (Aug 4); Indie-pendance, Mitchelstown, Cork (Aug 5).
