Bob Dylan wins Spanish arts award
Bob Dylan may not have won the Nobel Prize for Literature just yet, but with this year's Spanish Asturias Arts Award, he's definitely getting closer.
Bob Dylan has been announced as the winner of Spain's prestigious Prince Asturias Arts Award. The awards are given annually to recognise brilliance in eight different areas, including literature, sport, social science and international co-operation.
Dylan is only the second non-spaniard to be given the arts award, after Woody Allen received it in 2002. Dylan joins fellow 2007 award-winner Al Gore, who received the award for international co-operation earlier in the year.
