Hip-hop heavyweights coming to Dublin
A-list hip-hop acts Mos Def, Madlib and De La Soul will play Dublin next month as part of the Wanted festival.
Mos Def will play his first ever Irish concert in The Village on October 5.
Madlib plays the Tivoli the following night, topping a bill that includes Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, J Rocc of Beat Junkies, Egon, Deep Burial and Heralds of Change.
The festival will also feature film screenings, including Brian Cross’s documentary, DJ Dusk’s Rootdown Soundclash,, which focuses on the DJ battles that take place at LA hip-hop club Rootdown and features appearances by Cut Chemist, Madlib and Will.I.Am.
Details of De La Soul's gig will be announced when the full lineup for the festival is released on August 23 - stay tuned to hotpress.com for details.
