Quiet Music Festival confirms line-up and ticket info
The 18th Quiet Music Festival in Cork has confirmed the line up for its upcoming programme of experimental music.
A number of concerts will take place at Triskel Arts Centre on July 2-4 featuring artists the Quiet Club, David Toop, Juraj Kojs, Sarah Weaver, Seeded Plain and Cork composers.
The launch night is on July 5 at the Lewis Glucksman Gallery, opening the event with a solo concert by Pauline Oliveros.
Following that, the Ensemble will premiere specially composed music by Alvin Lucier, David Toop, Mark Applebaum, Juraj Kojs, and others.
There will then be a screening of Dreams of the Jungfrau, a recent film by Ione with music by Pauline Oliveros along with an Improvisation by Sound Art collective.
A limited number of free tickets are being allocated using a draw and applications will be accepted by email between May 26 and June 1.
Facilitated by Pauline Oliveros, Ione and Heloise Gold, the 18th Annual Deep Listening Retreat takes place between June 29 and July 4.
