Will The Fetus Be Aborted?
JELLO BIAFRA AND MOJO NIXON: “Will The Fetus Be Aborted?” (Alternative Tentacles)
JELLO BIAFRA AND MOJO NIXON: “Will The Fetus Be Aborted?” (Alternative Tentacles)
Connect Jello Biafra to the topic of abortion and inevitably, the record will stray beyond the borders of acceptable taste. With a beady and basilisk eyes to the zealots of the American anti-abortion movement,Biafra and his sidekick plunder the old gospel warhorse, “Will The Circle Be Unbroken?”, take it at a rowdy Pogues pace and rewrite it with the most offensively parodic stab at those self-proclaimed saviours of the unwanted child.
Funny, unnerving and totally blatant in its refusal to accept the limits of quote – responsible liberal tolerance – unquote, “Will The Fetus Be Aborted?” is, of course, the sort of track that we automatically expect Dave Fanning and all the other champions of alternative rock to play.
