U2 Announce Republic Of Loose As An Opening Act
The group will play support at a Croke Park show this summer.
Two weeks after the release of their new single 'Awful Cold', Republic of Loose have been named the opener for U2's July 25 Croke Park show.
The Loose, themselves, sold out two tours of Ireland in 2008, which included a crowd of 20,000 at Oxegen, and have featured Sinead O'Connor, Snow Patrol and Gavin Friday as their own opening acts. The group have also been nominated for Best Live Band and Best Irish Band at the Meteor Awards.
