R.E.M. to release live digital EP from Olympia sessions

The EP, entitled Reckoning Songs from the Olympia will be made available through iTunes and all digital service providers on July 7.

The recording features live versions of four songs from the band’s sophomore album Reckoning that were recorded during their working rehearsals at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre in July 2007. The tracklisting is 'Harborcoat', 'Letters Never Sent', 'Second Guessing' and 'Pretty Persuasion'.

The EP acts as a teaser for what's to come, with the two-disc R.E.M. Live At The Olympia album scheduled for release this autumn.
