Pat McCarthy In Ireland To Finish Bipolar Album
The REM and Madonna man is recording in Offaly.
Bipolar Empire are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, Hot Press has learned.
Having already spent seven weeks recording in LA with Irish-born REM and Madonna producer Pat McCarthy, the bulk of the work on the highly anticipated first offering from Tallaght's finest is already done.
The band's single 'Feel That You Own It', released early in the summer, was the initial product of their work with McCarthy – and was very well received, creating the foundations for an autumn campaign. In the meantime, Bipolar Empire were among the hit Irish bands at the SXSW festival in Austin, upping their profile Stateside impressively on their first trip.
Now the band are heading for The Nut Shed Studio in Offaly with McCarthy and engineer Mike Masters, of LA's Sunburst Studios, flying in to complete the record. A release date for the record has yet to be finalised.
