Where Were You
O'Malley boys forge Nu-Roots.
An endearing warmth emanates from Stile 13’s Where Were You as soon as you press play. For the most part, it’s thanks to the eclectic combination of performers who’ve come together to help flesh out Gerry and Martin O’Malley’s musical vision. More than just a straight folk or roots album, there are shades of Divine Comedy (‘Reaching Out For Tomorrow’) and Jinx Lennon (‘Don’t Need A Reason’). Plus, the O’Malleys’ songwriting is intelligent, perceptive and as varied as the rotating cast of band members.
