Viewers will create their own TV show using 'crowd sourcing'.
Screentime ShinAwiL, the people behind immensely popular programmes like The Voice, Dragons' Den and MasterChef have teamed up with Israeli TV company Armoza Formats to work on a new digital concept.
TV By The People aims to create a TV show with the viewers having an unprecedented say, employing crowd sourcing and crowd wisdom as a primary pull.
The website [link] www.tvbythepeople.com[/link] allows the public to submit their format ideas. Screentime ShinAwiL and Armoza will then collaboratively chose one idea and 700 selected candidates, who will then move to a closed Facebook group where it will collectively be developed into a full format. The ‘winner’ and selected group members will receive partial ownership in the format and with the winner also receiving a cash prize of €2,500. The submission closing date is May 18 and the project is underway with a significant number of submissions already.

We are delighted to work with one of the world’s best distribution companies Armoza Formats - Irish and Israeli creativity at its best.”
