what's really fucked up is that Australia has mortgage interest rates of circa 7% so if you have a crash the negative equity spirals even more then here, because paying the interest on it is even more preposterous. anyway, it can't be as bad as us. nobody can.

How much would Western Australia cost? I know it's mostly desert, but with a bit of irrigation, we could create a bagful of beaches. And you've also got Perth and Fremantle.
