"As an album, it’s one that I’m happy with at times. I think though there’s a little bit too much high-mid if I’m totally honest! But you know it’s a good record..."
"We’d just moved back to Dublin from London. So I think Horsedrawn Wishes has hints of Dublin and New York in it. That’s where our heads were at the time. While making it we ended up meeting a lot of our heroes. I mean we met Debbie Harry and The Velvet Underground. We also met Johnny Ramone. God when I think of it, it’s mad, all these people popped up. When we mastered the album we bumped into Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr, you know heroes really.
"So seeing all these people, and Jesus, Ian McCulloch as well! All that was inspiring. I wouldn’t say it was fun to record You know, you had three very strong personalities but we got on in our own sort of way. We had our own little scene. It wasn’t fun, though we were kind of enthused by the whole recording. As an album, it’s one that I’m happy with at times. I think though there’s a little bit too much high-mid if I’m totally honest! But you know it’s a good record. It’s of its time."
