Fallon brings the fun back.
The one and only BP Fallon has been busy in recent years with his band The Bandits, and making music with talismanic White Stripes front man Jack White.
Over the decades, Fallon has walked the walk and talked the talk, collaborating with and befriending everyone from Marc Bolan to John Lennon to the Boomtown Rats to Kevin Shields.
And, guess what? He has got his groove on here. Hot Tongue is a very excellent, six-song collection of good time rock n’ roll, with great lyrics. There is an intriguing cast of musicians involved, delivering guitar-ing of the first water from Aaron Lee Tasjan, Danny B Harvey and Joe King Carrasco and a solid rhythm section in the classic Blondie shape of Nigel Harrison (bass) and Clem Burke (drums).
David Holmes, meanwhile, recorded the backing vocals to ‘War’ in LA. As Beep himself put it, It’s “a family affair, family and friends.” It’s also a helluva lot of fun. Consider it well worth getting in on the act.
