They have on occasion been described as economy-class Air, but don’t let that mislead you. With Sam Hardaker and Henry Binn deftly making their programming software perform near miracles, ‘Home’ is smooth, clever and fertile-sounding, kind of like a space-age Sade. As if it couldn’t get any better, the B a-side is a carnivalesque, retro-quirky Stereolab remix. Not quite a radical departure from ‘Simple Things’, though in all fairness, one can never get enough of such perfectly crafted and pastel coloured euphoria.
