Ghetto Musick
The Georgia hip-hop mavericks take a Prodigy-style, jumped-up electro song and splice a cheesy Pop-Idol type soul ballad.
Forget electro-clash mash-ups for a moment – instead, the Georgia hip-hop mavericks take a Prodigy-style, jumped-up electro song and splice a cheesy Pop-Idol type soul ballad through it at 30-second intervals. Bizarrely, the whole thing works an absolute treat. Though it lurches from one tempo to the next without any prior warning, the result of this happy accident is a highly arresting, infectious and clever track. Or tracks. Either way, the track is more than a fitting follow up to the much-loved ‘Ms. Jackson’.
