Babyshambles in Ireland: the shambles have begun
The Pete Doherty circus was due to roll to Ireland on April 12 - but already the problems have started.
The band have been forced to reschedule the start of their five-date Irish tour, with the news that troubled frontman Pete Doherty must appear in front of magistrates to review his 12-month community service order.
Doherty was half an hour late for his hearing at Thames Magistrates Court today, but on the whole the proceeding was positive.
Magistrate McIvor said: "It seems as if his (Doherty's) determination is increasing, it is going well but it takes a lot of determination...I expect very good results by the next review."
The next review being April 12, the day they had planned to wow the crowds at the Carlow Music Factory.
The latest schedule (of many iterations, we get the feeling) reads:
Temple Bar Music Centre, Dublin - April 13
Spring & Airbrake, Belfast - April 14
Nerve Centre, Derry - April 15
Savoy, Cork - April 16
Music Factory, Carlow - April 17
Tickets for the original Carlow date remain valid.
