Leanne Harte's label signs deal with Voice Print
Irish independent rock label True Talent, home to singer Leanne Harte, have agreed a deal with UK distributor Voice Print.
True Talent Records have inked a deal with Voice Print in the UK to market and distribute their catalogue worldwide. Among the artists to benefit from the deal are talented Indie rocker Leanne Harte, Wicklow hard rock outfit Glyder and blues guitarist and label head honcho, Eamon McCormack.
Leanne Harte has had a particularly successful year. Not only did her debut album go gold, she also won Best Female Artist at the Balcony TV awards, and was selected to play at the Music Ireland expo and Castlepalooza Festival. She also released her widely praised Live From Paris acoustic album and successfully re-issued her debut EP.
Glyder have had a similarly successful year, touring the continent in support of their critically acclaimed debut album and taking to the stage this summer at the Gods of Metal festival in Italy alongside the likes of Velvet Revolver, Motley Crew and Guns 'N Roses. Their second album Playground for Life is out early next year, before they hit the road again across the UK and the continent.
Meanwhile True Talent label boss Eamonn McCormack releases his own album Kindred Spirits in early 2008. The album features the last ever recording of the late great Rory Gallagher, as well as other tracks featuring Dutch guitar virtuoso Jan Akkerman, artist and bluesman (the late) Herman Brood and top Irish sax player Keith Donald of Moving Hearts.
Voice Print is home to a number of the UK’s best known guitar players and progressive rock bands and musicians, incluing Rick Wakeman, Fish, Gordon Giltrap, Steve Hillage, Mike Oldfield, John Martyn and ex-Thin Lizzy guitar player Snowy White.
