Republic of Loose’s latest offering ‘The Steady Song’ hits the shelves this Friday, June 20.
Dublin’s phatest funk band, Republic of Loose, release their new single, ‘The Steady Song’ this Friday, June 20. This single is the second Loose offering from their latest album Voume IV, Johnny Pyro And The Dance Of Evil.
'The Steady Song' features guest vocalist, Isabel Reyes-Feeney with her quirky high pitched voice. She sings about beating a guy up, stealing his money, buying a bag of heroin and bringing it to a school, with all this over the most summery, bobby backing track so far this season.
“The song is about evil,” frontman, Mick Pyro recently told Hot Press, "I wanted to write about the most evil think I could possible think about. She has such a sweet voice and I thought the idea of her singing that with this beautiful, sunny groove underneath and me just describing pure evil – I thought it was a really interesting thing to do creatively.”
The single is available on CD and download, with the CD version including a new mix of the band’s last single, ‘I Like Music’ featuring US Hip-Hop artist Styles P.
