Fight Like Apes get two Glasto slots
Fight Like Apes continue a UK takeover with two Glastonbury slots and a UK debut single.
Dublin Band, Fight Like Apes are punching their way to success in the UK. And with two Glastonbury slots, the imminent release of their British debut single and several top UK DJ’s to call fans, they seem to steaming ahead.
'Lend Me Your Face'/'Lightsabre Cock-sucking Blues' will be out across the pond on 21st/28th July. The tracks have already receive huge praise from influential media and DJs over there. 'Lend Me Your Face' was one of John Kennedy's 'Top Five' last week on XFM and The Fly said of the group, "FLA are nonchalant but nice, unhinged but well adjusted and nonsensical but logical....they ride the influence of McLusky by socking us with a cover of 'Lightsabre Cocksucking Blues.'. With such highly memorable tunes and energetic vibe, FLA can't possibly fail."
All the praise has got to be calming their nerves as the FLApes take to the stage not once but twice at Glastonbury this weekend, with a Friday, 10pm slot at Late n Live and a Saturday BBC Introducing gig at 8pm. They’ve also got a bunch of gigs around the UK this summer.
It seems this band of fighters from Dublin are on the cusp of the big time.
