Channel 6 cancels Nightshift
Channel 6 has revealed that it has decided to axe the late night music video show Nightshift.
Hosted since its inception by Michelle Doherty, Nightshift has provided a valuable outlet to young Irish artists over the last few years. Produced initially by Tilde Wolfbrandt and latterly by Elton Mullally, Nightshift often took risks in playing artists whom the team believed in. A wide number of artists like Fight Like Apes (with Lend Me Your Face) saw plays of their Hot Press/Tisch NYU produced videos on network television for the first time in the wee small hours on the show.
The last show will air on Channel 6 on New Year's Eve.
