The shortlist has been announced for the fourth annual Choice Music Prize, which is worth a cool €10,000 to the winners.
In alphabetical order, the runners and riders are:

The Prize will be awarded on March 4 at a gig in Vicar St., which is open to the public and will feature mini-sets from most of the nominees. Tickets priced €27 go on sale on Monday January 19.
If you can’t make it, fear not, because as in previous years Today FM will be broadcasting live from the event.
The victors will be following in the illustrious footsteps of past Choice winners Julie Feeney, The Divine Comedy and Super Extra Bonus Party who reigned supreme in 2008.
