Fans will be able to view 2,000 of his personal possessions.
While it remains to be seen whether rumours of him playing a London O2 residency later in the year are true or not, Michael Jackson will be back on the Irish news agenda this week when the Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons presents King Of Pop: A Once In A Lifetime Auction.
Open to the public from March 6 to 21, the exhibition will preview the 2,000 Jackson collectibles that are going under the hammer next month in LA, and include costumes dating back to The Jackson 5; one of the fedoras he wore in the ‘Billie Jean’ video; and his iconic white-jeweled glove, which is expected to be among the most sought-after items.
You can also peruse the online catalogue at www.juliensauctions.com.
Newbridge is the only place where the auction will be previewed outside of the States.
