Here's the fabulous artwork for their cricket concept album.
The Duckworth Lewis Method – alias The Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon and Pugwash’s Thomas Walsh – have very kindly provided hotpress.com with an exclusive peak at the cover of their eponymous cricket concept album, which is out on July 6 as a digi-pack to coincide with the England v. Australia Ashes series (we realise that to a lot of you that last sentence was in Swahili).
A veritable smorgasbord – or should that be scoreboard? – of perfect pop, it features ‘The Coin Toss’, ‘The Age Of Revolution’, ‘Gentlemen And Players’, ‘The Sweet Spot’, ‘Jiggery Pokery’, ‘Mason On The Boundary (feat. Matt Berry)’, ‘Rain Stops Play’, ‘Meeting Mr. Miandad’, ‘The Nightwatchman’, ‘Flatten The Hay’, ‘Test Match Special’ and ‘End Of The Over’.
You’ll be able to get your first taster on June 29 when ‘The Age Of Revolution’ is released as a digital single.
There’s loads of cross-channel interest in the album, with the Radcliffe And Maconie and Dermot O’Leary radio shows, Sky Sports and The Times all on board.
