U2 join Rock And Roll Hall of Fame birthday bill
The party's taking place in New York in October.
Here’s a line-up to savour! U2, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Metallica, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Simon & Garfunkel and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Friends are all on board for the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame 25th birthday gigs, which are taking place on October 29 and 30 in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
If you fancy a trip over to the Big Apple, tickets go on general sale at 9am (local time) on August 3 on Ticketmaster US while American Express Cardmembers can avail of a July 27 presale.
An “all-star creative team”, which includes Tom Hanks, Cameron Crowe and former Band man Robbie Robertson, will be editing the action down into a four-hour HBO special, which will air in November.
Also upcoming in August is a Time Life 9-DVD box-set chronicling past Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.
Bruce plays on the Thursday and U2 on the Friday.
