The lads are currently Stateside recording their sixth studio album...
Having wowed the crowds at the recent NYE gathering on Dublin's College Green just over a week ago Bell X1 are wasting no time in 2013.
The lads have debunked to Bridgeport, Connecticut where they’re recording in Peter Katis’ Tarquin Studio, which bears more than a passing resemblance to the Amityville Horror house!
Katis, whose CV includes The National and Frightened Rabbit, is co-producing with Thomas Bartlett who numbers Doveman and The Gloaming among his clients.
Supernatural forces permitting, the resulting album is due in the summer.
The band just posted the following message on their website:

"As we begin 2013, we find ourselves in Bridgeport, CT recording the new album with Producers Peter Katis & Thomas Bartlett. Happy to be doing so @ Peter’s studio (Tarquin Studios) – a lovely old place in Bridgeport, Connecticut where some of our favorite records of the past decade have been made!"
The band are also preparing for a six-date European acoustic tour, with shows in the UK, Germany and Holland at the end of the month.
