Bloc Party play free Galway gig
It's true, it's true.
With their forthcoming Dublin Olympia date able to sell out seven times over, unticketed Bloc Party fans will glad to learn that the troupe are also headed to Galway. And it gets better: it's free.
Playing as part of the Heineken Green Room sessions, they'll be appearing at the Black Box in Galway on 8 November.
You can try to get tickets from www.heinekengreenroomsessions.ie, but they'll no doubt be hotter than hot cakes.
In other Bloc Party news, the band are releasing a DVD which comes with a newly-released version of their stunning debut album Silent Alarm.
But before cries of "rip off" are heard, fans who already own the album can buy the bonus DVD for £4.99 from www.blocparty.com/marshals until October 24, after which you can make your purchase from the main site, www.blocparty.com.
It features a 50-minute documentary filmed during their US tour, all of their promo videos, and five extra live tracks.
