Bloc Party to release new album
Kele Okereke is on board...
Following a spate of rumours last year that Bloc Party were to replace frontman Kele Okereke as he concentrated on his solo efforts, the London outfit have confirmed that they will release a new album in 2012 and that Okereke will be part of proceedings.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, Okereke confirmed that the band have been working in New York on the follow-up to 2008's Intimacy. Details are scarce but fans will be hoping for a return to a more guitar-based sound following the electro stylings of Intimacy.
