Blur back in 2011?

Having reformed for a host of hugely successful festival shows last summer, it seems as if Blur could be back in the studio in the new year.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 15 Nov 2010

Currently on tour with Gorillaz, Damon Albarn has been discussing the possibility of doing "something small" with his old bandmates.

Speaking to Sky News, he said, "We [Blur] did talk about doing something in January. Something small, no career-based world domination ideas." Albarn had stated last month that he has "a lot of songs that will always only be comfortable in the context of Blur."

The band released a new song, 'Fool's Day' in April for Record Store Day. Albarn said at the time that the idea of releasing further one-off Blur singles was a distinct possibility.

With Pulp officially back together after a seven-year 'hiatus', the Britpop nostalgia trip looks set to rumble on for the foreseeable future. Still no sign of a Menswear reunion, though.
