Bon Jovi confirm Slane support
The Coronas, Ham Sandwich & Bressie will do the honours...
It’s just been annouced that Bon Jovi will be joined on June 15 at Slane Castle by The Coronas, Ham Sandwich and Bressie, which gives the bill a distinct Irish flavour.
As revealed last week on hotpress.com, the headliners will be without lead guitarist Richie Sambora. There have been conflicting reports as to why – the official band statement cites “personal issues”; gossip website TMZ claims a blowup over money and a report in today’s New York Post suggests Sambora was ousted because of his hard partying lifestyle.
Those mightiest of metallers, Black Sabbath, have announced a December 12 stopoff in the Belfast Odyssey Arena.
Tickets go on sale on Friday April 12, price to be confirmed.
Ahead of that comes the June 13 unleashing of 13, the band’s new Rick Rubin-produced album featuring original members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, but sadly not drummer Bill Ward who declined to take part in the reunion due to a dispute over money.
